The two discuss her Geico commercial with Maxwell the Pig, growing up, how the musical Oliver sparked her desire to be an actor, the Missoula Children’s Theatre, her path from Ryder, to the American Reparatory Theater’s Institute at Harvard and the Moscow Art Theatre, moving to New York and taking classes at UCB, her move to LA, studying with the Groundlings and being invited to join the Groundlings Sunday Company, writing, creating a sketch show at Ryder, rediscovering a childlike confidence, auditioning, creating the sketch troupe Ma’am with Corey Podell, meeting and connecting with Corey, creating the Queen of Fishtown as a TV pilot and the lead character’s likeability, the pandemic, dog walking, the character of Kathleen Burke, Philly as a town and as a people, and the Queen of Fishtown tour.
