Nate kicks off the show announcing the release date of Oops! All Bards, the new tabletop RPG actual play podcast that he is producing, and talk about the redesign to the Yo! That’s My Jawn website. He is then joined on the show by Shawn Hennessey (Hennessey Bonfire/Leana Song). They talk about their mutual friend, growing up, learning guitar to Nirvana Unplugged, his first band, Mooney, punk/hardcore, his next band 1208, the move to Burlington, Vermont, the song 1208, finding percussion and drums, studying with Stuart Paton of the Burlington Taiko Group, the rhythms of World Music, going back to college to study drums, the start of the thread of his journey through percussion, studying in Ghana, Leona Song, interconnectivity and the communal spirit, returning to Germantown Friends as a teacher and his band Hennessey Bonfire.
